With fifteen years’ experience as a creative professional, Luis works with clients in a wide variety of industries focusing on brand identity, art direction, illustration, print, and digital. Born and raised in a Portuguese household in Philadelphia, Luis da Silva’s passion for visual design began to take shape at a very early age. During his formative years, skateboard culture, album cover art, and his bicultural experiences profoundly influenced and shaped the design aesthetic that defines Luis da Silva’s work to this day.
Shortly after earning a BFA in Graphic Design from Tyler School of Art, Luis went on to work with mentors, Shepard Fairey and Dave Kinsey, at BLK/MRKT Inc. in Southern California.
Since then, he’s worked independently as well as for top agencies around the country, designing for clients and brands including Target, Warner Bros., Pepsi-Cola, Urban Outfitters, EMI Music, Sony Interactive Entertainment, Dick's Sporting Goods, National Hockey League, Shire, and AstraZeneca.
When he's not working, Luis can be found planning his next adventure, as his passion for traveling and experiencing different cultures around the world feeds his creativity, curiosity, and vision.
